HyperThought is a collaborative content management system, designed to make data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). It does this by adding context to the data uploaded by users through Key-Value pairs and process models. This gives users the benefit of not only finding their data when searching for it, but also the story behind it. This greater context can lead to discoveries otherwise left unnoticed by leveraging existing knowledge from the research community.
Avolve is a content sharing platform for all Air, Space, and military professionals to explore and view videos, documents, websites, and Learning Paths for their training, education and self-improvement. Content can be contributed by anyone who wishes to share their expertise or interests with other Air, Space, or military professionals, all behind a secure CAC authenticated firewall. Individuals and organizations, enlisted, officers and civilians, are all able to share their knowledge and messages across services, commands, career paths, and geography.
Air Force Research Lab DTWR has commissioned the construction of a unified Data Hub to be the standard for system and data interoperability, offering technology and training to the AFRL community on best practices for software and data engineering. This ecosystem enables API gateways to connect to a common, accessible data environment for data of all forms, that are stored in various systems, cloud platforms, or on premise locations.
With Delve, users are equipped to make faster decisions at all levels of the organization using higher quality data and eliminate redundant investments in data repository and search capabilities. Delve provides a peta-scale AFRL Data ecosystem for the spectrum of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including meta-data, data models, and both raw and published forms of data.
The Digital Engineering Runway is a cloud-based computing environment to support AF Digital Engineering activities, accessible both on-premises and outside the fence. The Runway will support lightweight Product Lifecycle Management, rapid deployment of custom-built Hangar 18 tools and data pipelines, and access to commercial CAx Software as a service. Runway gets Digital Engineering technology off the ground!
Project Stitch is a research project with goals of reducing dependence on proprietary data and reducing the learning curve to use digital tools and associated models. Built on the Runway, the Stitch application will “stitch" together several data sources using cutting-edge Model Based Engineering technologies. Stitch will help stakeholders quickly ask the right questions and find the information they need, without the need for software training or systems modeling expertise.
